Don’t give up!
Δεκεμβρίου 30th, 2008Ένας χρόνος γεμάτος ”κρίσεις” σε παγκόσμιο αλλά και τοπικό επίπεδο (Ελλάδα,Σουηδία) μας αφήνει. Μια νέα χρονιά ξημερώνει εν μέσω οικονομικής κρίσης, εξεγέρσεων αλλά και ανέχειας για πολλούς. Για ευχές, ανεβάζω το τραγούδι των Peter Gabriel και Kate Bush ”Don’t give up”. Είναι ένα από τα τραγούδια της δεκαετίας του 80 που οι στίχοι του πιστεύω είναι διαχρονικοί και αναδίδουν μια αισιοδοξία. Βλέπεται οι ”κρίσεις” σε διάφορα επίπεδα, είναι επαναλαμβανόμενες στον κύκλο της ζωής. Αυτό που έχει σημασία σε προσωπικό επίπεδο, είναι η αντιμετώπιση τους με όσο το δυνατόν λιγότερες ”απώλειες”, κύρια σε αποθέματα ψυχής. Ανεβάζω λοιπόν το τραγούδι, με την δεύτερη έκδοση του βίντεοκλίπ, καθώς η πρώτη με τους περιστρεφόμενους Gabriel/Kate στο ηλιοβασίλεμα ήταν ψηλοάσχετη με το πνεύμα των στίχων.
Το τραγούδι αφιερώνεται σε όλους αυτούς που έχασαν η πρόκειται να χάσουν τις δουλείες τους λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης, σε αυτούς που χάσαν τα σπίτια τους στις πυρκαγιές στην Ελλάδα, στους Παλαιστίνιους που χάνουνε τις ζωές τους και τα σπίτια τους χρόνια τώρα, σε όλους τους νέους και τις νέες της Ελλάδας που ξεσηκωθήκαν και αγωνίστηκαν επί μέρες στους δρόμους και βλέπουν τους αγώνες τους να οδηγούν σε …ανασχηματισμό, στους γονείς του Αλέξη Γρηγορόπουλου, που πρέπει να αντέξουν την απώλεια.
